Canada Day

Wade had to make a trip back to Kansas so he wasn't here for Canada Day but his mom was still here so I felt like we should try to do something.  I finally decided on Heritage Park (this was where we went for the Day Out With Thomas) even though it wasn't free like the many activities downtown that day.  Heritage Park was having 8pm (and also 11pm) fireworks so I thought it would be a great way for Ethan to check out a small fireworks display without staying up till midnight.  Wade's brother ended up getting into town just in time to meet us there to watch the fireworks and then he went and picked up Wade at the airport for us.

Edith and Ethan were able to get on the last train of the day when we arrived.  They also rode the Ferris wheel and the carousel.  We ate dinner and then Ethan played on the playground a little before the fireworks started.  Ethan was not of fan of the noise that went along with the fireworks although it didn't seem to phase Abby.
