While Ethan is at school, Abby and I usually run errands and do some shopping. As a little baby she would usually nap in her car seat carrier but now she's awake most days and is much happier if not in the car seat. I'm just ready for spring so the weather is nicer because I hate to take her out of the carseat when its cold out. She is a hand full though and some days, I put her in the Ergo carrier because she won't stay sitting in the shopping cart. Here's a few pics I've snapped of her while out shopping with me.
This was taken in December and was the first time I put her in the shopping cart seat.
And these were in January. Trying to keep her in the car seat because it was cold but not really wanting to cooperate.
And her not wanting to stay in the shopping cart seat.

10 Month Photo
Hard to believe we only have two more of these photo sessions left. She's saying ma ma, getting into everything, and finally eating some foods but only things she can feed herself.
Double Baptism
While back in Kansas, the church in Plainville was generous enough to baptize Abby and my new nephew Henry. While the weather didn't cooperate for Wade's parents to drive out to Plainville, it was great that we were able to have my family and Wade's brother there. We were also happy we were able to be there for Henry's baptism.
Abby's first flight and first trip to Kansas
We found our next gate and then grabbed a little lunch. Abby was again ready for a nap when we boarded and slept about half the flight again and Ethan joined her this time. We got to KC, got our luggage and rental car. Wade's parent meet us with the car seats they have for us to put in our rental car and after installing both seats, we headed to Lawrence in time to have dinner with some friends. We drove to Plainville the next day to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family (and a quick visit from Santa and the Mrs).
Then back to Lawrence to have Christmas with Wade's family. We stayed in Lawrence till Jan 1st trying to see as many of our friends as we could while in town.
On the 1st, we went back to Plainville to spend some time with my family.
On the 4th we went back to Lawrence and then flew out early the 6th. Both kids slept most of the flight to Salt Lake City. Abby wasn't feeling great so she slept part of our layover in Salt Lake and part of the flight to Calgary. It was snowing in Calgary so we were relieved there wasn't any problems and was happy to make it home and get to sleep in our own beds. We had so much fun being back in Kansas and seeing everyone but the next day while running Ethan to school and getting grocery, I saw our wonderful view here in Calgary and couldn't help but think "We aren't in Kansas anymore".

World Cup Bobsleigh at Calgary Olympic Park
In December, we had the opportunity to check out the World Cup Bobsleigh at the Calgary Olympic Park. It was free to watch and wasn't very crowed unlike most things that we go to in Calgary. We were a little late when we arrived and it had already started. The first run we saw crashed at the very start and it was amazing to watch. The crashes on tv seem bad but in person they are even worse. We watched the first heat from the Kriesel Curve (which is pretty much 360 degree curve) and the second heat from the start line. (Hopefully the attached video works).

Our Christmas
We celebrated our Christmas the weekend before since we were going to be in Kansas. Ethan is at such a fun age for Christmas and Abby was more interested in the boxes and anything she knew she wasn't suppose to have.
9 Month Photo
8 Month Photo
Abby had 2 teeth poke through at the same time this month. Started to crawl just a couple days before turning 8 months old. We keep trying different kinds of food but no interest in anything although she didn't seem to mind cream corn as much as some of the others.

Christmas Tree
We ended up setting our tree up, on the upstairs landing. Of course it wasn't ideal being upstairs but at least we were able to keep Abby out of it plus I'm not sure if we could have found room for it in the living room anyways. We did set the tree up one night and then decorated it the next day so that's why the kids have different clothes on.
Preschool Christmas Program
Ethan's preschool did a cute little Christmas program. They started with a little nativity scene and then sang a few songs.
Zoo Lights
We managed to make it to the zoo lights one evening. It was a little chilly but not horrible (I think it was around freezing but since I'm so far behind I've kind of forgotten). Both of the kids did really well. Wade had Abby in the Ergo carrier so she was just kind of snuggled with him and seemed to be warm enough. It was a pretty good light display and we thought it was neat how they stuck with an animal theme.
